The Gods' Games Book 2 is all finished! <3
Hey Everyone,
The Gods' Games Book 2 is completed! Well, it's pretty much completed, over the years I've realized that I'm always rewriting the ending anyway after the first editing sweep so I just say fuck it and leave it now. Everything else besides that is done and now it's on to the painful editing process, which always seems to be so much more of a pain in the ass than actual writing lol.
But it's all done, and after it's edited and beta read and made all fancy it'll be ready for consumption. I know I always say this, but I love how this book turned out. As the story goes, I first started writing TGG (or the original form of it since it changed a lot over the years) when i was 14, and after that, I'd come back to it every few years and write a bit, or rewrite a bit, until I overhauled it in my early 20s then completely overhauled it a few years ago. During this time, I always had an idea as to what book 2 would look like, and most importantly, how it would end. Lots of things have changed, but the core of it is the same and I love how the characters have progressed, how the world of Elron has opened up, and I really love where book 2 is going to leave off.
If you haven't started reading The Gods' Games yet, now is a perfect time to do so, and a perfect time to re-read it and freshen yourself up. It's a solid book, and even if you're iffy about fantasy (or, well, dark fantasy in my case) you'll love it. It has the Quil style to it, all the main characters are gay but that's not their identity, just a wonderful perk, the world of Elron is my creation as is all the elves, demi-elves, demons (or demenos rather), mages, dragons, and the kingdoms, holds, towns, and of course the fucked up hellscape realm called Shol which the main character lovingly refers to as "Elf Hell'.
Besides that, things are going good on my end. My health has been great (which is surprising since it's winter but we've had a pretty mild winter here so far. No snow yet though), and even though the thought of it makes me tired I might be moving in a few months. You guys want me to move considering the only reason I haven't been able to bust through some audio books is due to not having a small place to record that will give me good acoustics, and the new place will have that (since I'll have space to put all this shit in my closet). I also am working on adding a few new one-time tiers to Patreon (one is already up) and offering some neat perks like my Twitch stream so whoever wants to hang out with me as I curse at my TV can do so, and I can do some sort of bastardized Ask Me Anything too. That will be a different announcement though. If you haven't joined my Patreon check it out. It really REAALLLY helps me out and I would be totally fucked without it (and not the good fucked). I'm a bit behind on sending out thank-you cards too and Im going to be getting on that in the next couple weeks.
Okay that's it! I hope everyone is having a good December so far. I still need to put up my Christmas tree. I need some 'kittens first Christmas' pics even though Gage is like 11 months old now lol.
